Job Title:  Part-Time Senior Benefits Analyst

Our client is hiring a Part-Time Senior Benefits Analyst who will be responsible for performing high level analysis of benefit programs and reports relating to benefit compliance, health plan utilization and HRIS/Payroll.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review, process and develop alternatives, leveraging technology
  • Research, collect, analyze and summarize employee benefit data and trends
  • Conduct high level analysis of system reports, utilization reports, financial spreadsheets, contracts, benefit policies, certificates and research trends in employee benefits
  • Examine potential benefit programs for cost, regulatory requirements and competitive advantage; report findings and make recommendations to Benefits Manager
  • Manage preparation of annual Total Compensation Statements
  • Work with Benefits Manager to update benefits policies
  • Conduct and respond to benefit surveys and benchmark best practices
  • Work with HRIS, the benefits team, consultants and vendors to ensures optimal use of technology for benefits

Job Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in benefits administration and analysis. Experience as a Benefits Specialist at a 1,000+ employee, multi-site organization is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability, verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with implementing web-based benefits technology, employee self-service,reviewing benefits processes and developing alternatives and leveraging technology
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and database management
  • Familiarity with HRIS/Payroll systems
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and local laws, codes, and regulations relating to benefit compliance
  • Project management skills
  • Bachelor's Degree
